How to Install Bumwash Bidet

Kiss your toilet paper goodbye with our simple and hassle-free bidet installation guide.

Step by Step Guide

step 1
1
Before you start, make sure you have a towel underneath the toilet water connection on the wall.
step 2
2
Check if your toilet has a T-adapter with an open and close valve for shutting off the water.

We do not recommend installing a bidet without a Shut Off Valve connected to the Wall Water Outlet. Please purchase a shut off valve for the water outlet in our accessories section.
step 3
3
Turn the T-Adapter valve to shut off the water or shut off your household water.
step 4
4
Flush the toilet to remove all the water from the tank. This will stop water from leaking from the tank when removing the hose.
step 5
5
Unscrew the hose from both the wall and toilet tank connection.
step 6
6
Connect the T-adapter male connection to the female water connection from either below the water tank or from the wall connection.

Tighten with an adjustable wrench and ensure the open and close handle is easily accessible.
step 7
7
Now connect the previously unscrewed water hose to one of the female threads on the T-adapter. Preferably the female connection facing downwards.

Keep the open/close valve pointed in the same direction as the male connection, which keeps the valve closed.
step 8
8
Unscrew the hose caps from the bidet spray hose.
step 9
9
Connect the hex side of the bidet hose to the remaining T-adapter valve connection ensuring the rubber o-ring inside is positioned correctly.

Then tighten it with an adjustable wrench.
step 10
10
Connect the hose to the spray head. You can hand tighten this.
step 11a
11a
Mount the spray holder to hang off the toilet tank or nearby wall.

To hang off the toilet tank, remove the top lid and hook the holder onto the side of the tank.
step 11b
11b
To install a mount off the wall, first remove the screws connecting the hook and the holder slot. Next, use the wall plugs and screws provided.

Testing the Water Connection

Step 1
Open the water valve to the toilet slowly, checking to see if any leaks are coming from the toilet valve to the T-adapter.
Step 2
Turn the water valve back off if there is any leaking.
Step 3
Tighten all connections and repeat stage 1.
Step 4
If there is still leaking present, check for faulty parts. If not, well done, you're finished!

Testing the Bidet Spray

2
You can adjust the spray's water pressure by opening the T-adapter valve further.

Recommendations for Daily Use and Longevity

turn off t-adapter

Turn off the T-adapter when not in use. Build up of water pressure into the spray can cause leaks and quicker deterioration of the bidet parts.

use medium water pressure

Use medium water pressure by not having the T-adapter turned up all the way. This will avoid water spills and accidents.

keep clean

Keep it clean with general household bathroom cleaners.
