Return and Refund Policy – Australia and United Kingdom

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

United Kingdom:

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If a product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. You may also be eligible for compensation for any loss caused by faulty products.


2. Change of Mind Returns

Australia:

If you have simply changed your mind about a purchase, we are not required to provide a refund or exchange. However, we may choose to offer a refund or exchange at our discretion, provided the item:

  • Is returned within 30 days of purchase.

  • Is in its original, unopened packaging and has not been used.

  • Is accompanied by a proof of purchase.

United Kingdom:

If you change your mind, you may return your item for a refund or exchange under our 30-day return policy, provided:

  • The item is returned within 30 days of receiving the product.

  • The item is in its original, unopened packaging and has not been used.

  • Proof of purchase is provided.

Please note that change of mind returns are discretionary and do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.


3. Defective or Damaged Items

Australia:

If you receive a product that is damaged or defective, please contact us within 30 days of receiving the item. We will provide instructions on returning the item and offer you a replacement, refund, or repair, as required by Australian consumer law.

United Kingdom:

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. You may request a repair, replacement, or refund. For items found to be faulty after 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement under UK consumer law.


4. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer service team at orders@bumwash.co to request a return.

  2. Provide your order number, details of the item you wish to return, and the reason for the return.

  3. Once your return request is approved, you will receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and further instructions.


5. Return Shipping

  • Australia: Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping, unless the return is necessary due to a major failure or the item is not as described. We recommend using a trackable shipping method to ensure the return is successfully delivered.

  • United Kingdom: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or not as described. For faulty items, we will cover reasonable shipping costs. Please retain your shipping receipt as proof.


6. Refund Processing

Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected. If the return is approved, we will process the refund using the same payment method used for the original purchase. Refund timelines are as follows:

  • Australia: Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

  • United Kingdom: Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.


7. Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are not eligible for return or refund, including:

  • Products that have exceeded the warranty period.

  • Items not returned in their original condition (e.g., opened or used).
